Echoes and Trails
is an exhibition that I curated and participated in as part of the "Memory in the Living Room" event". A traditional event on Holocaust Day where people meet to hear the stories of the Holocaust from the the Holocaust survivors.
The exhibition I curated for the event was spread out in the community center where the event took place and presented five works that deal with the echoes and traces of the gaps of generations and time.

Preservation of memory (שימור זיכרון)
is a projection work on clay that was ruined while working on stones which symbolizes the memory of the destruction. While artificial and deliberate means try to preserve the substance.
The memory of the material itself reacts in its natural way and with it also the memory.

The work imitates with the help of a camera (with infrared technology) the head movements of the viewer.
In this way we will discover a mirror that transforms the person into an image of a human model, stripped of identity and gender. In this way, the work illustrates the gap between the living reality and the emerging technological reality.

העבודה מחקה בעזרת מצלמה (עם טכנולוגיית אינפרה אדום ) את תנועות הראש של הצופה בה.
בכך נגלה מראה ההופך את האדם לדימוי של מודל אדם, ערום מזהות ומגדר. בכך ממחישה היצירה את הפער בין המציאות החייה למציאות הטכנולוגית המתהווה.

The photographs were created by photography students in a special project in which they worked with the residents of the sheltered housing "Nofi Motza" during the project the students met the people photographed and learned about their history and their private world and finally presented their photographs in an exhibition at the sheltered housing in Mevasheret. Selected photos were adapted to the exhibition Echoes and Traces and were presented at the exhibition

את הצילומים יצרו סטודנטים לצילום בפרוייקט מיוחד בו עבדו עם תושבי בדיור המוגן "נופי מוצא" במהלך הפרויקט הסטודנטים פגשו את המצולמים ולמדו על ההיסטוריה שלהם ועל עולמן הפרטי ולבסוף הציגו את צילומיהם בתערוכה בדיור המוגן שבמבשרת. תמונות נבחרות הותאמו לתערוכה הדים ועקבות והוצגו בתערוכה
