One man walking is a work following the breaking of the narrative. Narrative of jokes and narrative of animation.
One of the well-known plank jokes I heard as a child goes like this: One man walked walked, boom, fell into a pit. Or in a different version one man went and went, boom, schnitzel.
As a child this joke intrigued and evoked an existentialist essence. I couldn't help but wonder, where did the man go and where? Why was he one? And how did he not see the pit? As an adult, I understood that the joke refers in a sad and existentialist way to a sad essence of life, after all we are all one person who walks Until you fall into a pit (grave) which turns life itself into a kind of lame joke.
The narrative of animation here is also broken at several points. The video is made with a one line aesthetic, all the animation was done using a line in After Effects software and breaks again when my real character appears in the second act
