"In The Valley Of Ajalon." is a piece made as part of the "Musrara Mix Art Festival", (curated by Avi Sebag and Vera Corman) that dealt with the concept of "time", I presented the piece "In The Valley Of Ajalon" at the "spacetime" exhibition.
A work based on the biblical story of a miracle that happened to the Israelites by Joshua ben Nun during the war of the kings of the south. The event is recounted in the book of Joshua, chapter 10. The name is derived from verse 12 of the chapter, in which it is said: "The sun is in Gibeon, and the moon is in the valley of Ailon." According to the scripture, Joshua turned to God and commanded the sun and the moon to stop their movement, which immediately happened.
In the work, 12 photographs of the light spread of the moon are placed in a grid, and a video projection of manipulations of the image passing through a mirror ball and bubble wrap paper, represent the projector as the sun shining on the images of the moon. The light passing through the mirror ball is dispersed in space and a pedestal on which is placed a Gemara page with a discussion about how long there was no time next to a button with a motorized system designed to rotate the mirror ball and the dispersion of light in space
